Careers Pro - Job Posts, Careers Page & Applications with CV Upload and Inbox
Turn your shop into a hiring channel. Careers Pro publishes your job openings on a clean, responsive careers page and collects structured, validated applications with CV upload — each one landing both in your inbox by email and in a built-in back-office inbox with filters, private notes, bulk actions and CSV export. Job posts are per-language, the form can be shortened with switches instead of code, and CVs are stored privately behind a token-protected download. For PrestaShop 1.7 – 9.
Hiring through a contact form loses candidates
A generic "contact us" message with an attachment tells you nothing in a comparable way, and good applications get buried in a mailbox. Careers Pro gives you the two halves of real recruiting: a careers page that makes your openings look professional, and an application form that asks every candidate the same structured questions — then keeps every answer in one place.
How it works
- 1. Publish a job post — title, description, optional image, location and employment-type badges, and an optional "More info" link. Posts are per-language, so visitors only see openings written in the language they browse in.
- 2. Candidates apply — a numbered, sectioned form covers personal information, work eligibility, position and availability, education and skills, employment history, and documents with the consent checkbox. Native HTML5 field types validate as they type; the country list comes from your own PrestaShop installation.
- 3. You review in one screen — every application arrives by email (full summary, CV attached, Reply-To set to the applicant) and lands in the back-office inbox with an unread badge, read/unread filter, expandable detail, private recruiter notes, bulk actions and CSV export.
Applications you can actually compare
Because everyone answers the same fields, candidates line up side by side instead of arriving as free-form paragraphs. Don't need a whole section? Availability, eligibility, education and employment history each have an on/off switch in Settings — shortening the form takes a click, not a template edit.
CVs handled properly
Uploaded CVs are stored on disk under random names in a folder blocked by `.htaccess`, and can only be downloaded through a token-protected (HMAC) endpoint — not by guessing an ID. You set the maximum size and the allowed types (pdf, doc, docx, odt, rtf, txt, zip), and you decide whether a CV is required at all. Post images are re-encoded to JPEG, stripping anything embedded in them.
Set up in minutes, and it tells you when something is wrong
The configuration page has four tabs — Job Posts, Applications, Settings, Tutorial & Help — plus health checks that verify folder permissions, mail templates and mail sending, so problems surface before an applicant hits them. A dashboard widget shows unread applications, and a "Would you work with us?" link can appear in the customer account area.
Details that keep it clean
- Anti-spam and safe submits — a honeypot field, full server-side validation, and redirect-after-post so a page refresh can never create a duplicate application.
- Emails in six languages — owner notification and optional applicant confirmation templates in EN, FR, ES, DE, IT and TR, with automatic English fallback so a missing translation never breaks sending.
- Modern front end — responsive card layout driven by CSS variables, no jQuery.
- Safe upgrade from 1.x — the upgrade script creates the new tables and migrates existing job posts automatically.
Compatibility
PrestaShop 1.7, 8 and 9, PHP 7.1 – 8.x. The careers page and the standalone application form are module controllers, so there is no theme file to edit — just link them from your menu, footer or a CMS page.
Frequently asked questions
Where does the careers page live?
It is a module controller with its own URL that you link from your main menu, footer or a CMS page. A separate URL serves the standalone form for spontaneous applications.
Can I show different openings in different languages?
Yes. Job posts are per-language, so visitors only see the openings written in the language they are browsing in.
Can I shorten the application form?
Yes — the eligibility, availability, education and employment-history sections each have a switch in Settings. No template editing.
Who can download a candidate's CV?
Only you. Files are stored under random names in a deny-all folder and are served through a token-protected endpoint, so URLs cannot be guessed.
Do applications only arrive by email?
No — email is a convenience. Every application is also stored in the back-office inbox with filters, notes, bulk actions and CSV export.
Can several people get the notifications?
Yes, the recipient setting takes a comma-separated list, and Reply-To is set to the applicant so you can answer straight from your mail client.
